A year and a half ago, I resigned from a job I held for nearly 14 years and embarked on a journey of self-discovery. I spent the first month alone in Costa Rica, decompressing, pondering my life, and just enjoying time not having to think about feeding, clothing, chauffering, and doing all the other things that parents do. It was refreshing. Little did I know that it was the calm before the proverbial storm.

While in Costa Rica I started setting the foundations for my company, Astrid Digital and working with a mindset coach to help me figure out what I want to be when I grow up. 🙂 I came back from Costa Rica JUST in time for Covid to hit and for everything to get locked down. Perfect time to start a business, right? 🙄

Well, it proved to be the right time for ME. I am so glad to have quit my job and take a break just before I had to become a homeschool coordinator (not homeschool teacher…that is NOT my calling). This also enabled me to start coaching for a career in voiceover. I had a few clients in my first year, but now things are starting to ramp up and the second half of 2021 is looking pretty good.
